Live Oak County, Beeville set to meet for 8/9/10 district title

The District 29 championship in the 8/9/10 division will be decided in a best-of-three series between Zone A champion Live Oak County and Zone B champion Beeville.

Game 1 of the series will be played June 22 at 7 p.m. and Game 2 is slated for June 23 at 7 p.m. Game 3, if necessary, will be played June 24 at 7 p.m. All games in the series will be played at the Beeville Little League Complex inside Veterans Memorial Park in Beeville.

The winner of the district title will advance to the sectional tournament.

Both Live Oak County and Beeville came out of their zone brackets with unblemished records.

Live Oak won the Zone A title with a 13-12 victory over Rockport-Fulton. Live Oak opened the tournament with a win over Rockport-Fulton in the championship semifinals, then beat Refugio 14-0 to reach the zone championship.

Beeville bested Mathis 21-17 in a rematch of a game two nights prior to capture the Zone B crown. Beeville opened with a win over Odem, then beat Mathis 15-5 to get to the zone championship.
